Transforming Procurement to Create a Competitive Advantage

Presented by Brad Holcomb, Senior Vice President and Chief Procurement Office Dean Foods Company

Three years ago, Dean Foods began a journey to transform its corporate procurement processes and capability to create more value for the company. Brad Holcomb's presentation will focus on the opportunity that was identified, the bold changes that were required at all levels of the company to facilitate the transformation, and the results that have been achieved in the first three years. With much more work to do, Brad will talk about what lies ahead over the next few years.

Brad Holcomb joined Dean Foods in December of 2006 as Senior Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer. Since joining Dean Foods he has transformed and broadened the role of procurement and reduced costs to help fund innovation and growth. He has executed a broad strategic sourcing program, driven simplification and standardization, and streamlined the supply base resulting in a measurable competitive cost advantage. Dean Foods is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, and is one of the nation's leading food and beverage companies, producing a full line of dairy and soy products with more than 100 plants in the United States and employs more than 26,000 people.
